You did the write thing. I’ve had 3 macs over the years. Each one was better than the next. Though I can say I never saw a kernel panic…I’m sure I could have made one pop (a kernel) on the bottom of each of those machines. They got freaking hot. They also crashed a lot. Being a photo and video artist, Macs were supposed to be the end all…and they almost did end it all for my business. After twelve crashes in Photoshop one day, I went to a box store and bought the best PC I could get for 700 dollars and was able to keep from eating out of dumpsters. That PC lasted me eight years and then I gave it to someone else. My Macs would eat my DVD’s and crash the whole system over a single piece of dust on a DVD…I tested this. Take a DVD and run it over with a steam shovel and it still worked in my cheap PC. On the macs; word, mail, photoshop, toast, mac the ripper, entourage, finder, all crashed regularly..some several times a day. With my PC’s I’ve had constant uptime. Don’t read that in Mac speak relative terms. Read it as nothing has flogged my systems at all. No malware, no nothing. I’ve had a few app crashes, but so few that I don’t even recall them.

Last weekend I dug up that link you had sent me about getting the tunlr DNS to work with your PS3 and after a few minor tweaks to apply it to my WD TV Live… WHAMO!!! I now have Netflix US on my TV. What an improvement. Ironically, there are even a few Canadian preschool shows that my son likes on US netflix but not netflix Canada. Go figure.

For now the ruling is only applicable to some German state which asked the European Union court for an outside ruling, but you never know when this spreads. Other than that, there is a way the gaming industry can trick its way around it, as this applies to software you buy ownership of “for eternity”. Instead every software company could take the route of selling a license (i.e. renting it) to their software, including games, and simply give people the option to re-up their license once it expires for a dollar or something like that. Law bypassed! (until some other ruling twarts that idea)

I will agree that watching the best players at the top of their game is always a draw, but for whatever reason I always seem to gravitate toward the scrappy non-superstars.

Who cares about results? It’s about the play… Peter Schmeichel is my favorite player of all time (this is football, not ice hockey), so that translated into being a Manchester United fan. Once you’re set on something, there seems little point in changing.
