Ever since I got a Kindle a couple of years ago, my bad habit of buying books and never getting around to reading them has only worsened. Of course, the books don’t collect dust on a shelf anymore, but unfortunately, when they’re out of sight, they’re also out of mind. I keep telling myself that [...]
Judd Apatow put out his first book this month, a collection of short stories and essays entitled I Found This Funny: My Favorite Pieces of Humor and Some That May Not Be Funny At All. Although he did contribute a short piece himself, he mainly took on the role of editor, assembling a pretty impressive [...]
Here’s a cool animated trailer for Steven Johnson’s new book, Where Good Ideas Come From, animated in the same style as this video The RSA did for Daniel Pink’s Drive: The Surprising Truth Behind What Motivates Us. Johnson’s book traces the common threads behind various major inventions in human history.

Anyway, here’s a cool little animated short that Adult Swim did based on a River City Ransom-inspired flashback scene from Vol. 2. The actors from the movie all voice their respective characters. One [...]
Never mind that Marvel Super Hero Squad stuff… now this is a comic book-based MMO I want to play! Of course, there’s obviously no way that the gameplay for an online game will look anywhere near as good as this epic six-minute cinematic. But if they can at least capture the general feel of this, [...]
So apparently this is a real Comic-Con exclusive that was being given out in San Diego this year. It clearly had to have been inspired by the fake Star Wars “The Force” action figure that’s was floating around online a while back. (Still not as cool as Rocky’s Meat, I’m afraid.) (via Laughing Squid)
