The Short Version
Sean Dwyer is a video game programmer by day, compulsive blogger and podcaster in his off hours.
The Slightly Longer Version
Sean Dwyer was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada in November of 1978. He grew up on a steady diet of ’80s cartoons and 8-bit video games. In high school, he discovered punk rock and played bass in a couple of bands that never went anywhere, and passed the time making homemade movies with aspiring filmmaker and friend Jay Cheel (including the ever popular yet ill-conceived Albinoman series).
Eventually someone invented this thing called the internet at which point the universe all started to make sense. Sean created his first home page on Geocities and quickly became obsessed with the world wide web. After finding that he had a knack for programming, he went to Brock University for Computer Science, and took a handful of pop culture and communications courses on the side. He hosted a couple of shows on the campus radio station CFBU.
After graduation, Sean started working in the video game industry. He created the website Film Junk and started blogging and podcasting about movies, pop culture and technology. And now he can’t stop. In his spare time he also enjoys traveling with his amazing wife Alicia, and one day hopes to transition from being just another blogger to being an actual honest-to-goodness writer.
