I have to admit, outside of the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated shorts, I don’t think I’ve ever watched a full episode of anything Genndy Tartakovsky has done. However, I generally dig his art style and sense of humour and I’ve caught enough of Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack to be interested in his new series Sym-Bionic Titan. The story involves three aliens who, after crash landing on Earth, disguise themselves as high school students and defend the planet by piloting giant robots. Having grown up watching Voltron every day after school, I can’t help but be smitten by the concept. Sym-Bionic Titan will premiere on The Cartoon Network sometime in September. Check out a short promo and a clip after the jump.
