I'd like to read more about that and you trip to CA. As far as photos are concerned, I as well ran out of space on my standard Flickr account, so I just started uploading my pictures to my own website since I really only wanted to show them to personal friends of mine. You could do that as well and just post the pictures here, but that method does make you lose that feeling of being part of Web 2.0 community. I don't really mind though because between Flickr, Myspace, Facebook, and all of the other community sites I'm a part of for whatever reason, it feels like half my life is spent telling complete strangers who don't care about me what I'm doing.
