Forget upskirts and nip slips, the newest and hottest form of perversion in the information age involves seeking out hidden nudity in satellite photos with the help of Google Earth! I can’t believe I’m typing this, but someone actually located what they believe to be a nude sunbather in a backyard in The Hague, The Netherlands. Whether or not the person is actually naked is tough to say (the resolution is not quite detailed enough to make out any anatomical features), but it hardly seems relevant at this point. Nerds everywhere have already been getting all hot and bothered by it.
This poor woman is apparently becoming a bit of an unlikely celebrity after the news story got picked up on Digg — a Dutch TV station has since paid her address a visit. While I’m sure this could lead to an ethical debate about privacy, until the publicly available satellite photos can zoom in just a little further it will probably remain a moot point. It does make you wonder what other embarassing situations may have been inadvertently caught on film though. What were you doing on the day that the most recent satellite photos were taken in your area?

You have to admit the patch is awesome
Hi All Experts,
Does anyone use google earth images as ground image planes for use in aerial scenes. I know how to stitch them together but are there any tools or tricks to make sure that the images are at the same height, angle and such to make sure they stitch well. I know in the pro version you can get bigger images but im not going to pay for the pro version when i could stitch multiple images together…
